Pace Count Beadsor Ranger Beads is a manual counting tool used to keep track of distance travelled on foot through a pace count, by moving one of the beads every 100 meters

  1. After pacing off 100 meters, pull down one bead from the nine (9) bead section
  2. Continue walking until all nine beads have been pulled down.
  3. After walking another 100 meters, pull down one (1) bead from the four (4) bead section and slide all nine beads back to the top. This should mark 1 kilometer depending on your stride length. (test your stride length)
  4. Repeat steps above until all beads are pulled down (both the nine bead section and four bead section), this should be 5 kilometers.
